EP: Christophe & Lukas present Maison de Cheval
futureboogie bring the bass

Bass-heavy Futureboogie Records release a corker this week from Bristolian duo Christophe & Lukas. The duo have already released solo material on the imprint, and now release their collective debut in mighty fine bassy bumping style. A-side ‘Teardrops’ sees them produce a sparkling, shiny churner, offering 9 minutes plus of house music gold. The bass is in line with the current output of Bristol; with boisterous energy, layered percussion and soaring piano melodies, this one will tear up any reveler’s dance floor. Our stand out track is from Lukas’s solo offering entitled ‘Reel Love’, which nudges towards 90s house music with piano stabs and a full thick flavour. It’s over 3 minutes in that a feel for the classic vibe comes in to play through prominent hand claps and an uplifting piano breakdown that prepares for the full vocal splash atop a bubbling drop. The EP is finished up with Chrisophe’s ‘Stalker’, a track that is sure to mash up the mind with it’s cowbell fury and wonky piano. Link to buy below
