MCR Folk Us: Introducing Yemi Bolatiwa

There's one thing that stands above the rest when speaking to singer/songwriter Yemi Bolatiwa and that's her involuntary passion for music. There's a natural hunger that seeps from the 22 year old, which acts as somewhat of a definitive precursor to her success, even if the route toward that goal isn't as clear as her passion: "If I'm not talking about work, I'm talking about music. If you've got music in your life and you get to live music and get better at it, it's a great thing."

MCR Folk Us #1: Frogs In Socks Interview & Mix

**Exclusive**

We at newsicmoos formed a small bond with this duo after hearing a remix that was released not so long ago on the mighty Southern Fried Records. Together, Tom and Oli produce the type of electronic music that urges the feet to stomp and the head to nod; just think Dirtybird or Pets Recordings and you'll be on the right lines. Alas, we begin our journey through Manchester and inaugurate our new feature with a mix & some words from the cheeky chaps that go by the name Frogs In Socks. Get to know!

An in-depth look at the state of clubbing culture, its history to present day, in Britain and Europe

Our friends recently returned from a clubbing jaunt to Germany. As they eagerly divulged their many experiences one detail immediately grabbed our attention; whilst inside the infamous Watergate club they got talking to an affable native woman who proceeded to air her opinions on nightclubbing over in the UK. Her sentiment was this: “You guys certainly know your electronic music, but you have no idea how to club!”
